MERCEDES: PORTRAIT OF A STREET SWEEPER

Mercedes is a 40-year-old woman who loves her job. Born and raised in old Havana, she makes the most out of the things she finds, daily cleaning the cobblestoned streets and alleys of Old Havana. Full of love with a killer smile, she shares with one day in her life. Shot over the course of 24 hours, it is a simple but profound portrait of one woman who loves her country and her job.
